Ghanche: The candidates of B. Ed examination 2016, arranged by Karakarum International University (KIU) are facing difficulties after shifting of examination center from Degree college Khaplu to Skardu due to unknown reasons.
The Karakarum International University established B. Ed examination center first time in 2014 at Khaplu to facilitate the students of Ghanche periphery, but after two years the university administration directed the candidates of Ghanche to appear the exam at district Skardu via admit card.
There are hundreds of candidates including students and teacher of public and private sector that they filled the form of B. Ed to take exam at Khaplu. Following the decision of KIU to abolish the already established center at Khaplu, the clear repercussions were created among the candidates. ” I am a private sector teacher and i can not bear the travel expenses to appear in exam at Skardu”, Ahmad Hussain said. It is worth to mention that the female candidates have to take a attendant with them for traveling.
The civil society members including students, writers, intellectuals and religious and political dignitaries condemn the decision of KIU administration for displacing the B. Ed center from khaplu.
They demanded the Chief Minister GB, minister of education and chief secretary to restore the examination center at Khaplu. “If our demands would not fulfill then we come at road to record the protest “, they added.
