20 MINUTES OF CONTINOUS FIRING CREATE PANIC AMONG INHABITANTS AND TOURISTS IN UPPER HUNZA

Breaking News: FEAR & PANIC GRIPS PASSU VILLAGE DUE TO INDISCRIMINATE FIRING BY POLITICAL INFLUENTIALS/BUREAUCRATES

Gojal: 20 minutes of continuous indiscriminate firing in Passu village, a touristic town in Gojal upper Hunza created panic among the population and tourists this morning around 10:25 AM. According to local population a vehicle with a red registration plate HUNZA 1 escorted by police stopped in Passu and unknown gunmen from the vehicle started indiscriminate firing that continued for more than twenty minutes. People working in their fields, the nearby households and a large number of people gather for a local ritual called “Vool Katak – remembering the departed souls before Eid day” in Mirzabaad Passu witnessed the horrifying shower of bullets and every one were panic.
The red registration plate written “HUNZA” belongs to Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan and his family.
Passu village is officially protected and wildlife conserved area where firing is illegal and punishable.
Leaders and activists of different political parties and youth forums from Hunza district and Gilgit-Baltistan has strongly condemned this unlawful act and demanded that the culprits must be booked and punished under the law.
