Young author, researcher and columnist from Gilgit Baltistan Nisar Karim launched his second research based book titled ” Gojal-Between the Pamirs and the KaraKorum with Contrast of Tribes ” on Sunday 25th March at Lok Versa Islamabad.

Zafar Iqbal [Ex-MD NATCO, Ex-President, Regional Ismaili Council for Gilgit] and Farman Ali were guests of honor during the book launch session. The session was part of the annual Nawruz Cultural Festival” at Lok Virsa Islamabad auditorium organized by Gojal Educational and Cultural Association (GECA) in collaboration with Lok Virsa Islamabad.

While talk to Passu Times, the book author said ” Oral based history requires a lot of efforts in doing thorough research especially collection and dealing with primary research data is challenging. I am happy that this new publication is considering a breakthrough in literary work in the Wakhi tribe Gojal Hunza.” Nisar had initiated research work on this book back in 2014. The book explains genealogical history of the tribes living in Gojal valley of Hunza district.

His first book titled ‘ The Legends-Development and changes” was published in 2014.

Nisar Karim is haling from Ghulkin village Gojal Hunza. He holds Masters degree in International Relation from University of Karachi. Curently he is affiiiated Aga Khan Education Services Gilgit.
