Shimshal Bemisal wins Gojal Cup 2018 2 days “Gojal cup” Futsal Tournament starting from Saturday 1st December successfully ended in Islamabad today.
Almost 16 teams from tehsil Gojal of District Hunza took part in the contest representing every village of Gojal. In the first semi-final Team, Moorkhun beat Jamalabad by 4-0 where Mirza Raheem scored a hat-trick.
Second semi-final match was Played between Ghulkin United and Shimshal Bemisal, the score remained 2-2, and it was decided on penalty shoots where team Shimshal won by 3-2.
The final match was played between Shimshal bemisal and Moorkhun in which Shimshal outclassed Moorkhun by 3-0.
Azeem Baqir was declared man of the series for his exemplary performance during the entire tournament.
Kabir Ayub from (GYSC)-Gulmit Young Star Club was given fair play award for the event and Zia from Jamalabad being the youngest won emerging player award. Certificates were given to all those who participated in the tournament. Raja Nazim Ul Amin was Cheif guest for the opening ceremony of the event and Aslam Khan Ghalib was presiding guest ,Tourism minister Gilgit Baltistan Fida Khan also visited the event on the opening day.
On the final day closing ceremony Mr. Baig Ali Sufi being Cheif guest of the event applauded the efforts of GRISA and GYSO.
Mr. Fayyaz Karim the presiding guest of the event encouraged the talent of the youth and highlighted the importance of sports in everyone’s life. Mr. Salman Hussain President GRISA said that the goal was to unite the youth of Gojal and families residing in the twin cities to interact with each other. Mr. Sayeed Tajik President GYSO briefed that Healthy activities like this help us to come together and unites us for a good reason which is need of the time.
